Naman Dhir records unique wicket pattern in T20I series

Indian spin all-rounder Naman Dhir has established a unique statistical pattern during the T20I series against the West Indies. In his first three T20I appearances, Dhir has taken five wickets, with each dismissal occurring on the delivery immediately following a six conceded to the same batsman.

This pattern was observed in the first T20I, where Shai Hope, Romario Shepherd, and Shamar Springer were all dismissed on the ball following a maximum. The trend continued into the third T20I in Indore, where Shimron Hetmyer and Kamil Pooran fell under identical circumstances.

In the same match, India secured a 14-run victory over the West Indies. Opener Abhishek Sharma contributed significantly with a 69-run knock off 30 balls, including six fours and five sixes. During this innings, Sharma became the fastest player from a Test-playing nation to reach 2,000 T20I runs, achieving the milestone in just 1,024 deliveries. Former cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal praised Sharma’s ability to adapt to the pitch conditions and maintain his aggressive playing style.
