Namba Parks hosts immersive sea of clouds event in Osaka

Namba Parks in Osaka is hosting a new immersive event called ‘Namba Unkai’ (Namba Sea of Clouds) at its Parks Garden rooftop. Running from August 28 to November 1, the event uses mist and lighting to create a fantasy-like sea of clouds across the garden floors from the 2nd to the 8th level.

The installation features different visual and auditory experiences on each floor, with the mist appearing sequentially every 30 minutes starting from the entrance arch. A highlight of the event is the ‘Super Unkai Time’ at 21:00, when the mist covers all floors simultaneously for approximately three minutes.

Admission to the garden is free, with viewing available daily from 17:30 to 22:00. Visitors can also enjoy themed food and drinks at the ‘Unkai BAR’ on the 3rd floor, including colorful sodas and glowing shaved ice. Additionally, rental lanterns that project patterns on the ground are available via reservation.
