Namhae Alumni Association holds 2026 sports festival

The Gimhae Namhae County Alumni Association successfully hosted its 2026 sports festival on October 18 at the Hallim-myeon Sports Park in Gimhae. The event brought together alumni divided into four teams—Dan-hobak, Maneul, Sigeumchi, and Yuja—to compete in various traditional games including Yutnori, shoe-throwing, flipper relays, and Jegichagi.

Association President Lee Jong-su emphasized the importance of the biennial gathering for community bonding. Namhae County Mayor Ryu Kyung-wan, attending his first festival since taking office, expressed hope that the event would strengthen local affection and unity. The Sigeumchi team claimed the overall championship, while Ha Young-sook won first place in the singing contest.
