Namibia and Ireland are set to begin a five-match One-Day International series with the first ODI at the High Performance Oval in Windhoek on Thursday, October 22. This match marks the first time the two nations have faced each other in this specific format.
Namibia enters the series following a fifth-place finish in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2, which resulted in them missing qualification for the major tournament. Ireland arrives seeking to recover from a 4-0 series defeat against Afghanistan.
The pitch in Windhoek is expected to be balanced, potentially offering assistance to both batters and hit-the-deck seamers.
