Namibia launches exporters’ guide and prepares for Zimbabwe trade mission

Namibia has launched its first maiden Exporters’ Guide to assist local businesses, particularly micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), in accessing regional and international markets. Developed by the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) with support from the Ministry of International Relations and Trade, the 74-page handbook provides operational guidance to help businesses utilize existing trade agreements such as AfCFTA, SADC, and AGOA.

In a related effort to strengthen regional commerce, Zimbabwe’s national trade promotion agency, ZimTrade, is organizing an outward trade mission to Windhoek from October 7 to 9, 2026. The mission, conducted in collaboration with the NIPDB and the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, aims to convert political ties into concrete business deals. The initiative will focus on sectors including agriculture, engineering, logistics, and fast-moving consumer goods, providing a platform for Zimbabwean exporters to enter the Namibian market and for Namibian companies to find new suppliers and partners.
