Namibia Tourism Board sponsors The Restoration Concert 4.0
The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) has pledged N$250,000 in sponsorship for The Restoration Concert 4.0, scheduled for 31 October at Windhoek’s Dr Hage Geingob Stadium. The initiative aims to position Namibia as a regional hub for events tourism, moving beyond traditional wildlife and safari attractions to engage tourists with local culture and community experiences.
Hosted by Project Never Walk Alone, the annual gospel concert operates under the theme “Restoring Hope, One Shoe At A Time.” The event serves a dual purpose: providing a platform for worship and raising funds to provide shoes for underprivileged children. Organizers aim to attract over 20,000 attendees, doubling the previous year's turnout, with a total production budget of N$3.2 million.
The concert lineup includes international gospel performers such as Minister GUC, Minister Michael Mahendere, and Reverend Benjamin Dube, alongside 17 Namibian artists. To support the event, the NTB and organizers have launched a dedicated “Come for the Concert” campaign.
