Namibian High Commissioner tours Ghana’s Volta Region

Namibian High Commissioner to Ghana, Ndiyakupi Nghituwamata, conducted a multi-day tour of the Volta Region to strengthen bilateral relations and explore cooperation in economic development, education, and cultural diplomacy.

During her visit to Ho, the regional capital, Nghituwamata participated in a walking tour to experience the city’s atmosphere and cleanliness. The tour allowed for informal discussions regarding the municipality’s development needs and potential partnerships between Ghana and Namibia.

The High Commissioner also visited several historical and cultural sites, including Keta Fort, the Anloga Lighthouse, and the Xedranawo slave museum. She emphasized the importance of visiting these locations to connect with African history and the legacy of the transatlantic slave trade, noting that such visits make historical accounts more tangible.
