Namibian National Council donates N$27,609 to Cuba aid campaign

The Namibian National Council has donated N$27,609 to the Namibia-Cuba Solidarity Campaign to provide humanitarian assistance to the Cuban people. The funds were raised through individual contributions from all 42 members of the Council.

Ambassador Tuliameni Kalomoh, Deputy Chairperson of the National Solidarity Committee with Cuba, stated that the donation will be used to procure medicines, medical supplies, and solar kits. He emphasized that the initiative is strictly humanitarian, non-partisan, and non-political.

National Council Chairperson Lukas Muha noted that the gesture reflects Namibia’s long-standing solidarity with Cuba, citing the significant role Cuba played in supporting Namibia’s liberation struggle and its continued assistance following independence.
