Namma Yatri launches Namma Santhe retail platform for drivers
Namma Yatri has launched Namma Santhe, a retail shopping platform designed specifically for its network of drivers. Developed in partnership with Keystones, the initiative marks the first time an Indian ride-hailing company has entered the retail sector to provide a dedicated shopping service for its drivers.
The platform operates through both a physical store at the Namma Yatri office in Bengaluru and an online storefront offering home delivery. Namma Santhe aims to reduce driver expenses by sourcing products directly from manufacturers, OEMs, and authorized distributors to negotiate bulk rates. The company maintains a zero-commission model, taking no margin on sales and ensuring purchases are not linked to driver earnings or platform activity.
Initial product categories include automotive essentials, three-wheelers, mobile phones and accessories, electronics, household goods, personal care, and safety products. The service is intended to benefit the platform's 7.71 lakh enabled drivers by providing quality-checked goods at prices below standard market rates.
