NamPost opens new branch in Nkurenkuru to expand service access

NamPost has inaugurated a new branch in Nkurenkuru, located in the Kavango West Region, as part of a national expansion programme. This new location is one of 12 service points established by the organization over the last 10 months, bringing its total national footprint to 148 branches.

The expansion is intended to improve access to postal, financial, logistics, and government services. Notably, NamPost will assume responsibility for the distribution of Social Cash Grants starting October 1, 2025. Officials noted that these grants are vital for many households, particularly for elderly beneficiaries in the region.

Alongside the branch opening, NamPost launched its National Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiative. As part of this, the organization donated N$1.1 million worth of ICT equipment, including computers, printers, and mobile internet subscriptions, to the Kavango West Directorate of Education to support community learning and digital literacy.

Additionally, the company introduced new digital services via the MyNamPost Banking App under its ‘Project Sky’ digital transformation programme. Users can now purchase prepaid airtime, data, electricity, water, and digitized PostPay Money Orders through the application to reduce branch congestion and enhance convenience.
