Namrata Joshipura debuts OBSIDIAN collection at Lakmē Fashion Week

Designer Namrata Joshipura unveiled her latest collection, OBSIDIAN, at Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI). The showcase, presented in collaboration with OPPO, focuses on reimagining evening wear through a blend of deep blacks and metallic elements.

The collection features sculptural silhouettes, elongated jumpsuits, and body-skimming gowns that balance architectural structure with fluid movement. Key design elements include liquid silver textures, gilded embroidery, three-dimensional embellishments, and jewel-like surfaces. The collection aims to move beyond the traditional ‘little black dress’ by utilizing high-shine metallics and intricate threadwork to create a sense of drama and luminosity.
