Savannah Guthrie Pleads to Kidnappers for Missing Mother Nancy Guthrie

Nancy Guthrie, an 84‑year‑old resident of the Catalina Foothills near Tucson, Arizona, was reported missing on February 1 2026. Authorities believe she was kidnapped; blood was found near the front doorstep and FBI‑released surveillance footage shows a masked man tampering with the door‑bell camera that night.

Multiple ransom‑note letters were sent to media outlets after the disappearance, some dismissed as extortion attempts while others remain under investigation. The Guthrie family has offered a $1 million reward, later increased to $1.2 million, for information leading to Nancy’s recovery.

Today co‑host Savannah Guthrie has repeatedly addressed the abductors in Instagram videos, most recently on July 27, urging them to “do the right thing,” “make the right choice,” and “tell us where to look for her.” No suspects have been publicly identified and no arrests have been made. The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department continue to investigate, and volunteers have conducted searches near the Arizona‑Mexico border.
