Nancy Guthrie disappearance investigation continues in Arizona
The investigation into the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie remains ongoing six months after she was reported missing from her home in the Catalina Foothills near Tucson, Arizona. Nancy Guthrie is the mother of TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie.
Public speculation has frequently targeted Nancy’s daughter, Annie Guthrie, and son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, because they were among the last people to see her before she vanished. However, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department has officially cleared all members of the Guthrie family of suspicion, with Sheriff Chris Nanos clarifying that they are not suspects in the case.
Former FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer has publicly defended the family against online accusations, stating that claims regarding gambling debts or family involvement are baseless and driven by social media users seeking views. While some self-styled investigators have suggested the disappearance was an ‘inside job’, authorities have not named any suspects.
