Nancy Guthrie disappearance investigation reveals ransom note discrepancies
New details have emerged regarding the investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of NBC’s Savannah Guthrie. Six months after her abduction from her Arizona home in February, experts are questioning the legitimacy of ransom notes received by the family.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, investigator Dr. Kris Mohandie expressed skepticism toward the notes, citing red flags such as the sender's decision to send them to news outlets and inconsistent use of pronouns. While the notes contained specific crime scene details, Mohandie suggested they might be inadvertent leaks rather than proof of the kidnapper's identity. He noted a hypothesis that the case could potentially be a burglary that escalated, though law enforcement continues to investigate all possibilities.
Amid the ongoing investigation, Savannah Guthrie shared a personal milestone on social media, celebrating her daughter Vale’s 12th birthday with throwback photos and messages of affection.
