Nancy Mace debuts YouTube show and reveals arm tattoos
Outgoing U.S. Representative Nancy Mace has debuted a new YouTube commentary series titled ‘Get Maced,’ using the launch to publicly reveal nine tattoos covering her arms. The tattoos, which she had previously kept hidden, include imagery such as a bird, a sun, and the opening line from Virginia Woolf’s novel ‘Mrs. Dalloway.’
Mace previously disclosed that she received the ink in rapid succession between late 2023 and early 2024 during a period of significant personal and professional upheaval, including the end of her engagement and a mass exodus of congressional staffers. She described the tattoos as a way to ‘reclaim’ her identity and provide ‘the pain that I need to feel.’
The media pivot follows Mace’s unsuccessful bid for Governor of South Carolina in the June primary, where she finished fifth. She is set to complete her current congressional term in January 2027 before transitioning to the private sector and entrepreneurial ventures.
