Nancy Pelosi discloses multimillion-dollar Bloom Energy investment

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi disclosed a significant investment in Bloom Energy, estimated to be between $3 million and $12 million, made by her husband, Paul Pelosi. The transactions occurred in late July, with the household account purchasing shares and call options on July 24 and July 28.

The timing of the trades coincided with Bloom Energy reporting strong second-quarter earnings, including a 165% annual revenue growth, and preceded the company’s announcement that it would join the S&P 500. Following the index inclusion news, the company’s stock price saw substantial gains.

A spokesperson for Pelosi stated that the former Speaker does not own any stocks and has no involvement in these transactions. While Pelosi has expressed support for banning congressional stock trading, her household continues to disclose significant Wall Street activity as required by the STOCK Act.
