Nandita Sinha named CEO of Swiggy Instamart, replacing Amitesh Kumar Jha
Swiggy announced that former Myntra chief executive Nandita Sinha will take over as CEO of its quick‑commerce arm Instamart, effective August 3, 2026. She replaces Amitesh Kumar Jha, who submitted his resignation on July 28, 2026 to pursue opportunities outside the company.
Sinha brings more than two decades of experience in e‑commerce, retail and fast‑moving consumer goods, having held senior roles at Hindustan Unilever, Britannia Industries, Flipkart and serving as Myntra’s CEO from January 2022 until early 2026. Swiggy Group CEO Sriharsha Majety called her “one of India’s most accomplished consumer‑internet leaders” and said her customer‑centric approach will drive Instamart’s next phase of growth.
The appointment comes as India’s quick‑commerce market intensifies, with rivals such as Blinkit, Zepto, Amazon and Flipkart Minutes expanding dark‑store networks and accelerating delivery times. Swiggy’s leadership reshuffle also follows a series of senior departures after its public listing.
