Nangal Chaudhary Logistics Hub begins rail freight operations

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has officially flagged off the first freight train from the Integrated Multi Modal Logistics Hub (IMLH) in Nangal Chaudhary, located in the Mahendragarh district. This facility is designed to strengthen the state’s multimodal infrastructure by integrating rail, road, warehousing, and cargo-handling services at a single location.

Developed as part of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC) ecosystem, the hub is strategically positioned near the Delhi-National Capital Region. It aims to improve cargo connectivity between production centers, distribution hubs, and western coast ports. By providing an efficient rail alternative for bulk and containerized cargo, the project is expected to reduce reliance on road transport, lower logistics costs, and enhance supply-chain reliability for manufacturers and exporters.

The hub is intended to become one of North India’s largest logistics centers. Officials noted that the successful commencement of rail operations marks a significant step in positioning Haryana as a major manufacturing and economic hub.
