Nani criticizes ‘Pan-India’ label and discusses ‘The Paradise’ promotion
Actor Nani has addressed the marketing and promotional strategy for his upcoming film, ‘The Paradise’, which is scheduled for release on September 24. During a recent press meet, Nani explained the decision to skip a traditional trailer, noting that the production team is currently prioritizing the final stages of post-production over promotional content.
In addition to discussing the film's release, Nani criticized the frequent use of the term ‘Pan-India’ in the Indian film industry. He described the label as an ‘overused and abused term’, clarifying that while ‘The Paradise’ will be released in multiple languages, its primary focus remains the Telugu-speaking market.
His comments reflect a broader debate within the industry regarding the marketing of regional films. Other industry figures, including actor Rana Daggubati, have also questioned the relevance of the ‘Pan-India’ label, suggesting that filmmakers should focus on strengthening their core regional audiences rather than relying on broad marketing tags.
