Nankang district sees booming housing sales and upcoming mega‑mall projects
Housing sales in Taipei's Nankang district have remained strong in the first half of the year, with 1‑2 bedroom units accounting for more than 40% of transactions and 3‑room units about 50%. Notable projects driving the market include the luxury “Hengyue” development, selling at roughly NT$1.43 million per ping, the “SKY PARK” complex at about NT$1.387 million per ping, and “Dongfang Dajing,” which has sold over 90% of its units at around NT$1.21 million per ping. New office‑tower projects such as the “Zhongtai Dahua Enterprise Plaza” are also entering the market.
Meanwhile, Nankang is set to host four large‑scale malls within the next few years, the highest concentration of upcoming malls in the Taipei‑New Taipei region. Developers cite the district’s transformation from an industrial‑exhibition zone to a mixed‑use hub, supported by the nearby soft‑ware park and expanding transit links. The influx of these malls is expected to boost local commercial activity, enhance residential demand, and sustain housing price growth in the area.
