Nano Nuclear Energy partners with Tillman for AI data center power

Nano Nuclear Energy has signed a strategic commercial framework with Tillman Digital Gateway to deploy advanced nuclear power for AI data center developments in the United States. The partnership aims to address the massive electricity demands of the AI revolution by utilizing Nano Nuclear’s KRONOS MMR Energy System, a 15-megawatt high-temperature gas-cooled modular reactor designed for phased deployment.

The companies are targeting at least 2 gigawatts of advanced nuclear capacity by the mid-2030s, with a goal of reaching 6 gigawatts or more by 2040. Under the framework, Nano Nuclear is identified as Tillman’s anticipated preferred nuclear technology provider for its planned AI industrial zones.

This collaboration seeks to mitigate energy constraints facing hyperscale and AI customers. The proposed model allows for nuclear capacity to be added in stages as demand grows, potentially allowing Tillman or its affiliates to finance power projects while Nano Nuclear provides the reactors, fuel, and operational support. The plans remain subject to regulatory approvals, financing, and definitive agreements.
