Nano One integrates Arkansas lithium carbonate into LFP cathode production
Nano One Materials Corp. has successfully integrated battery-grade lithium carbonate from Standard Lithium Ltd.’s South-West-Arkansas project into its proprietary One-Pot process. The company used the material to produce lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode active material (CAM).
Following production, Nano One manufactured battery test cells at its innovation center in Burnaby, British Columbia. Initial electrochemical testing of these coin cells showed a discharge performance of approximately 155 mAh/g, meeting the intended particle morphology and chemical parameters. This testing phase is intended to expand raw material procurement options for Nano One’s potential customers and licensees.
