NanoCo integrates NanoClaw with Slack to enable autonomous AI agent teams

NanoCo has launched a Slack integration for its NanoClaw platform, enabling users to create entire teams of autonomous AI agents through simple conversational prompts. Unlike standard chatbots, these agents are designed as persistent entities with their own unique identities, including specific names, avatars, skills, memories, and permissions.

Users can instruct an existing agent to generate specialized colleagues, such as code reviewers, testers, or product managers. These agents appear as separate entities within the Slack environment, allowing them to be mentioned individually, communicate with one another, and work within shared Slack Canvases. NanoCo CEO Gavriel Cohen noted that this approach allows agents to function more like digital departments than single-task assistants.

Maintaining its open-source and self-hosted roots, NanoClaw allows agents to run on a client’s own infrastructure, such as a local machine or a cloud virtual machine. The integration utilizes Socket Mode to ensure that Slack tokens remain on the user's machine. Additionally, these agents can be messaged across other platforms like Telegram or WhatsApp, facilitating cross-platform communication between humans and AI.
