NANS lists dozens of Nigerian schools that have not refunded NELFUND tuition payments
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has released a list of tertiary institutions that have received tuition payments from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) on behalf of eligible beneficiaries but have not yet returned the fees to students who paid before the loan disbursement. NANS President Akinteye Babatunde (also reported as Afeez) said the list is meant to promote transparency, accountability and prompt repayment, urging the schools to act without further delay.
The published list includes universities, polytechnics and colleges of education from all six geopolitical zones, such as Adamawa State University, Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Federal College of Education Yola, Kaduna State Polytechnic, Ogun State Institute of Technology, Federal University Dutsin‑Ma, University of Education Akamkpa, University of Uyo, Yobe State University, Federal University Lafia, Modibbo Adama University, Nasarawa State University, Federal College of Forestry Plateau, and many others, totaling 39–43 institutions according to different reports.
