NANS secures release of detained Polytechnic Ibadan students

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has secured the release of students from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, who were being held in detention. The intervention was conducted to ensure the students could continue participating in their ongoing examinations.

NANS leadership engaged with authorities to protect the academic interests of the students, noting that the detention threatened their educational progress. The association expressed appreciation to the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for its cooperation in releasing the students. While supporting the fight against financial crime, NANS emphasized the importance of conducting investigations in a manner that does not unnecessarily disrupt student education.
