Nantou 48-Hour Short Video Competition winners announced

The results of the ‘Nantou 48-Hour Short Video Competition’ have been announced, organized by the Nantou County Government. The competition challenged 13 finalist teams to complete scripts, filming, and editing within a strict 48-hour window following the drawing of their topics.

Local youth Weng Yu-xiang, competing under the team name ‘Zhushan Bean’, won the first prize and a 100,000 TWD award for his work ‘@ALL’, which creatively depicted the emergency medical system in Shuili Township. The second prize was awarded to the team ‘Come Play in Nantou’ for their film ‘Yuan Man’, focusing on the longan industry in Zhongliao. The third prize went to the team ‘Zhongnan Hai’ for their production ‘A Station’s Distance’, which featured Jiji Town.

Tsai Ming-chih, Director of the News and Administration Department, noted that the competition expanded this year with a total prize pool of 410,000 TWD. The event aimed to use short videos to showcase Nantou’s local culture, social welfare, and regional vitality to a younger generation through digital platforms.
