Taiwanese communities host cultural and intergenerational events

Various regions in Taiwan are hosting cultural and community events focused on elderly care, youth development, and traditional customs.

In Nantou and Yunlin, Grandparents Day celebrations were held to promote intergenerational harmony. Activities included learning exhibitions, fashion shows, and ceremonies honoring filial piety. In Lugu, the Huashan Foundation celebrated a centenarian's birthday with a tea ceremony to foster community connection.

Coming-of-age ceremonies for 16-year-olds were conducted in Tainan and Taoyuan. These events utilized traditional rituals, such as bowing to parents and visiting temples, to mark the transition from childhood to adulthood and encourage social responsibility.

Other community initiatives include a social-emotional learning camp for children in Shui Li organized by the Family Support Center, and a star-themed festival in Qingjing that combined indigenous Seediq culture with celestial observation and local temple collaborations.
