Nantou County completes Hakka language certification workshop

The Nantou County Hakka Development Office and the Shuili Hakka Association have completed a 12-week primary Hakka language proficiency certification workshop. The program, which concluded on August 25, utilized materials from the Hakka Affairs Council to teach basic vocabulary, daily conversation, and sentence structures.

To prepare participants for upcoming national certification exams scheduled for September 12 and September 20, the course included training on basic computer operations to help students become familiar with digital testing environments.

To support language preservation, the Nantou County Government has implemented an incentive program that provides financial rewards to residents who successfully pass the Hakka language proficiency certification.
