Nantou County honors educators at Teacher's Day ceremony

The Nantou County Government held the 115th Teacher's Day Commendation Ceremony at the National Chi Nan University auditorium to honor local educators for their dedication. County Magistrate Xu Shu-hua presided over the event, expressing gratitude to teachers for their professionalism and patience in guiding students through a changing educational landscape.

Among the honorees, two recipients of the Ministry of Education's Shiduo Award were highlighted: Huang Mei-ling, principal of Yingbei Junior High School, for her work in international and bilingual education, and Tsai Chung-yi of Puli Junior High School, for his long-term commitment to rural technology education.

Other awards included the Apricot Altar Fragrance Award, presented to several individuals and the Mingjian Junior High School holistic education team. The ceremony also recognized nine teachers with 40 years of service, along with various other educators and childcare service personnel for their long-term contributions to the community.
