Nantou man dies after alleged assault and abandonment at hospital

A 23-year-old man, identified by the surname Zhuang, has died after being allegedly assaulted and detained in Nantou County. On the morning of August 29, a silver car arrived at the Zhushan Show Chuan Hospital emergency room, where two men unloaded the heavily injured victim onto a stretcher before quickly fleeing the scene. The men initially claimed they had found the victim lying by the roadside.

Medical staff reported that the victim suffered multiple abrasions, swelling in the forearms, and significant physical trauma. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at 6:43 AM. Preliminary investigations suggest the victim was taken from a temple in Zhushan around 10:00 PM on August 28 due to a private dispute.

The Zhushan Police Precinct has formed a special task force and successfully apprehended all suspects involved. The suspects are being investigated for offenses including disturbing the peace, deprivation of liberty, and causing death through injury. The case has been referred to the Nantou District Prosecutors Office for further legal proceedings.
