Taiwan police intensify crackdowns on drug and alcohol-impaired driving
Law enforcement agencies in Taiwan are intensifying efforts to combat drug and alcohol-impaired driving. In New Taipei City, the police department mobilized 787 officers for a fifth wave of specialized operations. This crackdown resulted in the detection of 30 drug-driving cases and 6 drunk-driving cases, leading to the impoundment of 36 vehicles. The operation also identified 27 wanted fugitives.
