Nýřany to receive new 58 million CZK railway station

A new railway station building in Nýřany, worth 58 million CZK, is scheduled to begin construction in the first quarter of next year. The project, managed by Správa železnic, is expected to be completed by the end of 2028.

The modern facility will feature a waiting area, ticket counters, restrooms, and a commercial unit. To reduce operating costs, the building will utilize a heat pump and a rooftop photovoltaic power plant. The site will be fully barrier-free and located closer to the bus station. Additionally, the surrounding area will be updated to include a new parking lot.

This construction is part of a larger 4.49 billion CZK modernization of the electrified line between Plzeň and Germany, which includes the reconstruction of stations in Vejprnice, Tlučná, and Nýřany. The project aims to improve both international transport to Bavaria and regional commuting to Plzeň.
