Nao to cast announced for film ‘Kasukana Kare wo Dakishimete’

The Japanese film ‘Kasukana Kare wo Dakishimete’ is scheduled for release on January 15, 2027. Starring Nao, the original story is directed by Ryuya Yamanishi, who previously gained recognition for his work on ‘Kanojo Raira’.

The plot centers on Kanami, a woman dealing with the ‘ambiguous loss’ of her husband, Kosuke, who went missing in a water accident and was legally declared dead without a body being found. The narrative follows her journey of healing and love when a mysterious young man named Jun appears, claiming to have met the ghost of her late husband.

The cast includes Ryota Bando as Jun, Shunsuke Daito as Yu, Kanami’s current lover, and Ayumu Nakajima as Kosuke. The film is set against the backdrops of a city on the Sea of Japan and Tokyo, exploring themes of love and rebirth across time.
