Munich Oktoberfest trends and Heidi Klum's HeidiFest

As Munich prepares for Oktoberfest 2026, fashion and celebrity events are taking center stage. Traditional dirndl trends are shifting toward more conservative and high-quality styles, with longer hemlines reaching below the knee, high necklines, and a preference for earthy tones like green, red, and brown. Experts note a move away from cheap, mass-produced versions toward premium materials such as linen, velvet, and silk.

Leni Klum is also making an impact with a minimalist capsule collection designed in collaboration with Sportalm, featuring modern interpretations of traditional attire in colors like sky blue, cream, and chocolate brown.

In terms of entertainment, Heidi Klum will host her annual ‘HeidiFest’ at the Munich Hofbräuhaus on September 17. The event, which serves as a prelude to Oktoberfest, will feature supermodel Naomi Campbell performing as a DJ. The party will be broadcast live by RTL and includes a lineup of musical guests such as Vicky Leandros and Liz Mitchell.
