Naomi Watts to receive Donostia Award at San Sebastián Film Festival
Naomi Watts will be honored with the Donostia Award for her career achievements at the 74th San Sebastián International Film Festival. The award ceremony is scheduled for September 19 at the Kursaal.
Following the gala, the festival will screen ‘The Housewife’, a psychological thriller marking the directorial debut of Ben Shirinian, in which Watts stars. The film is set in 1964 New York and follows a journalist investigating a suspected Nazi officer.
Watts, a two-time Oscar nominee known for works such as ‘Mulholland Drive’, ‘21 Grams’, and ‘The Impossible’, joins filmmaker Werner Herzog as a recipient of the Donostia Award this edition. The festival runs from September 18 to 26.
