NAPA and Pedro Mizutani release new musical projects

The Madeiran band NAPA has released the single ‘Coisas Simples’, which serves as a preview for their third studio album, ‘Semitrópico’, scheduled for release on October 16. The track explores themes of immediate connection and maturity, blending pop identity with soul and MPB influences through an arrangement that includes brass, percussion, and strings. The accompanying music video, directed by Luís Silva Nunes, celebrates the landscapes and lifestyle of Madeira.

In Brazil, singer-songwriter Pedro Mizutani has released the music video for ‘Indo/Voltando’, a single from his debut album ‘Nova Bossa: Aquele Abraço aos Ratos Vivos’. Directed by joão MM, the 10-minute short film utilizes a distorted, 90s-era MTV aesthetic to explore themes of isolation, anger, and non-belonging. The project features a visual style inspired by the marginal poetry and late capitalism of Rio de Janeiro.
