Napajedla to launch subsidized senior taxi service in September

Starting in September, the town of Napajedla will launch a subsidized senior taxi service to assist elderly residents and individuals with health limitations. The initiative joins a project already operating in neighboring Otrokovice and is managed by the organization Senior Otrokovice.

The service is available to residents over the age of 65 or those with disabilities. A single trip, which can include an escort, will cost 40 CZK. The service operates on weekdays from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and rides must be booked by telephone at least two working days in advance.

The service area covers Napajedla, Otrokovice, and several surrounding municipalities, including Tlumačov, Topolná, Halenkovice, Spytihněv, Bělov, Žlutava, Pohořelice, Komárov, Oldřichovice, and Zlín-Malenovice. Travel outside this designated zone will be charged at a rate of 10 CZK per kilometer. The town expects annual operating costs of approximately 231,000 CZK.
