Napajedly Stud Farm declared a cultural monument by Czech Ministry of Culture

The Czech Ministry of Culture has declared the entire Napajedly Stud Farm complex, including its connected pastures, a cultural monument. This decision follows a review process and incorporates expert assessments from the National Heritage Institute, which concluded that the site's historical value lies in the connection between the buildings and the surrounding lands.

Culture Minister Oto Klempíř stated that the decision prioritizes the preservation of the site's cultural-historical values and original functions over irreversible development. The protection of the pastures is intended to create conditions for the potential return of horses to the area.

The ruling follows a legal challenge by the farm's majority owner, Sygnum, which sought to suspend the minister's previous decision. However, a Prague court rejected the request for a stay of execution, allowing the Ministry to proceed with the new designation. The Mayor of Napajedly, Robert Podlas, expressed respect for the decision, hoping for positive future outcomes.
