NAPAS, Mastercard, and Payoo launch cancer screening program for vulnerable women in Vietnam
NAPAS, Mastercard, and Payoo have partnered with the Vietnam Women's Union to launch the ‘Chạm sẻ chia, Trao hy vọng’ (Touch to Share, Give Hope) program. The initiative aims to provide 2,010 free cancer screenings for vulnerable women and ethnic minorities in remote and difficult areas.
For 2026, the program is expanding its reach to four regions: the Northern Delta (Ninh Binh), South Central Coast (Da Nang), Central Highlands (Dak Lak), and the Mekong Delta (Can Tho). The target beneficiaries include low-income workers, seasonal laborers, single mothers, women with disabilities, and those living in poverty or affected by natural disasters.
The screenings will focus on three common types of cancer: breast, ovarian, and cervical cancer. This initiative responds to Ministry of Health data showing low screening rates among Vietnamese women, particularly in rural and mountainous areas where geographic distance, economic burdens, and cultural barriers often prevent access to specialized healthcare.
From September to December, for every contactless payment made using Mastercard or NAPAS cards through the Payoo partner system, 2,010 VND will be contributed by NAPAS and Mastercard toward these screening activities.
