Napheesa Collier regains form ahead of WNBA playoffs
Napheesa Collier is regaining her form for the Minnesota Lynx as the WNBA playoffs approach. Following two ankle surgeries earlier this year, the forward recently recorded 23 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 interceptions in a game against the Connecticut Sun. Collier noted that while she is still working on her defensive speed and explosive movements, her physical strength is improving.
Collier’s return has been described as a significant boost for the Lynx, who finished the regular season with a strong record. Teammates and coaching staff have highlighted her leadership and impact on the court.
Collier’s professional journey was supported by her parents, Gamal and Sarah Collier. Her father, a Sierra Leonean native and former rugby player, and her mother, a former athlete and healthcare administrator, played key roles in her development, including starting an AAU team to ensure she had competitive opportunities.
