Naples: 17-year-old girl dies after pedestrian accident

A 17-year-old girl, Anna Pittirollo, has died following a road accident in the Capodichino district of Naples. The incident occurred on September 6, when the teenager was struck by a car while using a pedestrian crossing.

After being hospitalized at Cardarelli Hospital, the young woman succumbed to her injuries. Following authorization from her family, her organs were donated. The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old man who stopped to provide assistance, has undergone toxicological testing to check for alcohol or drugs.

The Naples Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident and determine liability. Investigators are currently analyzing surveillance camera footage from the area to clarify the events surrounding the collision.
