Naples' Agnano Racecourse Reopens for Trot and Gallop Races in August

The Agnano racecourse in Naples will resume horse‑racing events after a suspension that began on 15 June. Trot races are scheduled for Thursday, 13 August at 18:30, followed by gallop races on Monday, 17 August at 19:00.

The venue received safety clearance from the relevant authorities after structural checks, including inspections prompted by the 31 July earthquake near the Campi Flegrei volcanic area. New Agnano Arena & Races, the operating company, has updated its licensing for venue suitability and betting collection. Public access areas remain limited while further works are completed, and entry will be controlled with a €10 ticket.

CEO Pier Luigi D'Angelo said the company is finalising a 35‑year management agreement with the Municipality of Naples and thanked national and local institutions for their support in restoring the facility.
