Naples celebrates the musical legacy of Pino Daniele

Naples is hosting events to honor the musical heritage of the late artist Pino Daniele. As part of the Affabulazione 2026 program, the Fenice Festival will present ‘Blues For Pino’ on October 30 at the ADISURC spaces. The performance, conceived by guitarist Osvaldo Di Dio, features a reimagining of Daniele’s classics with contributions from his former band members, including Gigi De Rienzo, Rosario Jermano, Ernesto Vitolo, and Lele Melotti.

Additionally, the film ‘Je so’ pazzo’, directed by Nicola Prosatore, explores Daniele’s life journey. The film depicts his rise from a difficult childhood in the streets of Naples to his legendary 1981 concert before 200,000 people. It highlights his musical revolution, which fused blues and jazz with Neapolitan traditions, while examining themes of identity, family conflict, and personal growth.
