Naples' Città della Scienza opens summer program with interactive exhibits and family activities

The Città della Scienza in Naples will remain open Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00‑16:00, throughout the summer, offering a packed calendar for tourists, families and science enthusiasts. Highlights include CORPOREA, Europe’s first museum dedicated to human anatomy, where visitors can explore the body with the humanoid robot Aphel, as well as the “Insetti & Co.” exhibit on arthropods and immersive planetarium shows.

A special event is scheduled for 12 August to mark the upcoming total solar eclipse. Organized by INAF, PLANit and UAI, the evening will feature a live projection under the planetarium dome, a video link with other Italian planetariums, and guest speakers such as Dr. Angelo Zinzi of the Italian Space Agency and performer Helen Tsefazghi. The program will run until 17 August, with only a brief closure on 15‑17 August.

Additional family‑friendly options in Naples include the interactive Città della Scienza museum in Bagnoli, the University of Federico II paleontology museum with life‑size dinosaur fossils, the Naples Planetarium inside the Mostra d’Oltremare, and several outdoor parks and the historic Anton Dohrn aquarium.
