Naples court annuls arrest of doctor Eutalia Esposito

The Naples Reexamination Tribunal has annulled the arrest order for Dr. Eutalia Esposito, a physician involved in an investigation regarding the death of a newborn at the San Leonardo hospital in Castellammare di Stabia. The incident occurred in March two years ago following postpartum complications.

The court accepted the appeal filed by Esposito’s defense attorneys, Alfredo Sorge and Guido Sciacca. While the arrest order has been overturned, a twelve-month interdictory measure remains in place for Esposito, consistent with the measures applied to five other co-defendants in the same investigation.
