Naples court trial continues for murder of Martina Carbonaro

The trial for the murder of 14-year-old Martina Carbonaro continued in the Court of Assize in Naples. Fiorenza Cossentino, the victim's mother, testified in court wearing an electronic bracelet due to a restraining order issued against her and her husband. The order was implemented following alleged instances of tension and threats toward the relatives of the defendant.

Alessio Tucci, the victim's ex-boyfriend and a self-confessed killer, is following the proceedings via video link from prison. During her testimony, Cossentino recounted the final hours of her daughter's life and expressed her belief that Tucci may not have acted entirely alone. The court also heard testimony from a friend of the victim who spent the last hours with her before the fatal encounter in an abandoned building near the Moccia stadium in Afragola.
