Naples Court Issues Sentences in Moccia Clan Trial

The VII criminal section of the Naples Court has delivered sentences in a major trial involving the Moccia clan, resulting in over three centuries of combined prison time for various members and associates.

Key sentences include 30 years for Antonio Moccia, 24 years for Angelo Moccia, 21 years for Luigi Moccia, and 21 years for Filippo Iazzetta. Other defendants received varying terms, ranging from two to 20 years, while several individuals, including Claudio Abbandonlo and Gabriele Coppeta, were acquitted.

The proceedings followed a period of significant legal controversy in August 2024, when several defendants, including the Moccia brothers, were released from custody due to the expiration of legal terms. The trial concluded after four years of hearings and five days of judicial deliberation.
