Naples cyclist killed in motorcycle collision

A 64-year-old cyclist has died following a collision with a motorcycle in Naples, Italy. The accident occurred near the Loreto Nuovo hospital on Via Vespucci around 7:30 PM. The motorcycle, operated by a 23-year-old with a 24-year-old passenger, collided with the victim's electric bicycle for reasons still under investigation. The impact caused the cyclist to fall and strike his head on the road; emergency services confirmed his death at the scene.

The motorcycle driver was transported to Ospedale del Mare for medical treatment and testing. Local police have seized the vehicles and are conducting investigations to reconstruct the dynamics of the crash.

Following the accident, the victim's sister has alleged that his personal belongings were stolen. She reported to Deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli that a bag containing the man's effects was taken while he lay on the asphalt. Authorities are working to clarify the circumstances regarding the reported theft alongside the ongoing accident investigation.
