Naples hosts theatrical performance inspired by Elena Ferrante

The theatrical production “Invenzioni,” starring actress Viola Graziosi, is scheduled for Sunday, October 25, at the Shine Club in the Soccavo district of Naples. The performance is inspired by “L’invenzione occasionale,” a collection of texts published by Elena Ferrante in The Guardian in 2018.

The show consists of twelve vignettes covering diverse themes, including first love, climate change, the relationship with art, moving, and female emancipation. The production integrates words, song, and movement to create an immersive experience based on the author's reflections.

“Invenzioni” is part of the “Pianura Opera House 4” festival, organized by the Teatro Stabile delle Arti Medioevali and promoted by the Municipality of Naples as part of the “Affabulazione” project. It is funded by the Italian Ministry of Culture’s National Fund for Live Performance and produced by Marche Teatro and TSA Teatro Stabile d’Abruzzo. Admission is free, though mandatory reservation via email is required.
