Naples investigation reveals worker's contract registered after death
Investigators in Naples are examining the death of Salvatore Russo, a 54-year-old worker from Pozzuoli who died on June 30 after being electrocuted by an exposed electrical cable while working in a garden in Quarto.
Evidence from the Carabinieri investigation, coordinated by the Naples Prosecutor's Office, suggests that Russo's employment contract was only registered after his death. This finding is a key element in determining the legality of his working conditions and the formalization of his employment at the time of the accident.
Two individuals have been placed under investigation for manslaughter. The inquiry continues to assess workplace safety compliance and potential omissions that may have contributed to the fatal incident.
